P0441 fault

P0441 fault
On and off for a while I’ve had P0441 code pop up now I’ve replaced my filler cap and it stopped. Well till my full tank dropped below half a tank of fuel. Anybody got any ideas why this happens?

I had this code, not on my Scirocco but on our Polo GTI. It did turn out to be the EVAP control valve that had gone faulty. I had that replaced at a cost of about £170 (VW independent) but a few months later got the same code again. This time it was a charcoal filter used for absorbing fuel vapours, so had that replaced at a cost of about £120 from memory.
