Changing Pads & Discs

Post by LJP1991 »

Hi All,

Looking for a little bit of help. Scirocco R 2011 plate.

Changing my rear pads & discs and come across an issue. Removed break pads & holder fine.

The caliper is left (cant slide out the pads without removing it unfortunately), and there held on by two bolts (photo attached).

I think this is a SPLINE Socket - link to range below. But before I went and bought them I was wondering if anyone knew if this was correct?

Would really appreciate the help!

Thanks

hi,

Pads should fall out when you remove the caliper, the Carrier needs to be removed to get the disk out usually.

Yeah thats definitely a 12 point spline. not sure of size but 12mm springs to mind. there should be two to remove.

Let me know how you get on

Yep pads were off and caliper. Just the carrier left with these 2 x spline bolts.

Thanks pal, appreciate it!
