Who are you insured with?

Post by bradbull93 »

Hi all, taking delivery of mt R next week. I just wondered who everyone is insured with as i've had a number of companies tell me they cant cover me on it till 26! I'm 23! I've got a reasonable quote from admiral but was just wondering if there is anyone else is should try? Cheers

I was 23 when I got my insurance (24 now) - Aviva fully comp for £600. If you're under 25 you need to have held your licence for minimum 5 years I believe with Aviva! Ring them up, mine was £150 cheaper than the online quote they gave me [emoji1417]

I'm 20 and insured on Admiral via confused.com for £1,650 in my 2015 Scirocco R.

Im 20 been driving 3 years have 4 points and a previous collision all declared to my insurance.
As yet no modifications to the car but my insurance is £1,650 a year (with my parents on the insurance as additional drivers...) play around with your job title if it fits into more that one. and also quote your parents or other family members on the insurance as it brought mine from £2,500 to £1,650...

Im with admiral, 23 also. Around 600/700 pounds.

Try Sky insurance as I heard they were good for young/modified. I took track day insurance out with them and it was reasonable.

Admiral, and pay about £320 which includes all the mods. But then I'm 34 and been driving since I was 17.

Interestingly, when I was shopping around, I got a quote from Direct Line but as soon as I told them the car was remapped they said no, can't cover you!

Admiral seem to be pretty mod friendly.

Chris Knott have sent my renewal through at double the price it was last year. Granted I wrote my Scirocco GT off, but it's still £400 more than what Admiral are quoting. :eyepop:
