Battery dies after 20-30 minutes of listening to music...

Post by Fzn097 »

Hi all,

I've been having some issues with my Scirocco.

The battery will die after 20-30 minutes of listening to music and the car being off (key still in the ignition but car switched off). With every other car I've had, the music has always cut off before the battery has died, as if its some kind of warning that the car is about to go flat and it needs to be started, however with my Scirocco it will continue to play and wont give such a warning.

I'm guessing its a bad battery and plan to change it to a "Bosch S5008 77 Ah" (https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/bosch-s5 ... -444770968" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but i was just wondering
- How long does your battery last while the car is off and listening to music?
- Which battery would you recommend?

The headunit automatically switches off after an hour and you do get a warning message.

When I replaced my battery I went for a Bosch S5 096. Tayna batteries have good prices and service.
