BT module retrofit.

Post by pawel.krzysztanowicz »

Hi everyone,

Soon i will try to retrofit my Rocco with BT module, I don't have any in my car right now. In my opinion best choose is 3C8035730A module with already installed RCD 510, but i don't know that my iPhone X will connect sucessfully with car (without compatibility problems or something like this).

Thanks for help!

I spoke to my local VW dealer and he said that the Bluetooth unit cannot be retrofitted as the wiring from the loom is not present, if the car did not come from the factory with it fitted.
Their suggestion was the Bury CC9068 unit, similar to the Parrot.
However, I found that I could buy a replacement radio with Bluetooth built in, with CarPlay for around £150. The Model is the RCD330G Plus and loads can be found on eBay. Its plug and play too although, you may need an adapter for the radio antenna.
Hope this helps
Pete
