Engine revs follow up

I putting this as a new post as it probably wouldn't be reads otherwise. I asked the question about my engine bout going above 4000 revs.
Plug pine person answered. Thanks Cuprabob. Took it to my local garage for diagnostics. Over the weekend i had to have the battery replaced as the old one suddenly gave up the ghost. The diagnostics showed a low voltage code. It would seem that as the old battery began to fail it started to shut down components and went into a limp mode.
Codes were removed and ECU reset.

Problem solved.
