hi could anybody tell me if they told their insurance company and what did they charge extra

That was just a remap. They haven’t changed for any other mods. I asked about intake and exhaust: they wouldn’t charge for that either. They only charge for power increases. Flux are very good for mods. Others will have the shirt off your back.

If you buy a car second hand you can always plead ignorance with a remap. It's not visible. Other mods are a different matter obviously. The insurance prices where I live are a joke. Even now I'm 32 so I haven't bothered with mine before.
