Where to get updated cam chain tensioner?

Post by mcrummy »

I am considering changing my 2.0 TSI's cam chain tensioner to the updated design as a preventative measure. I have done a lot of research into how to do this as a DIY, and can obtain all the tools required. Only problem is I don't seem to be able to source the actual tensioner in the UK. Does anybody know the best place to get one. Thanks, Mike

TPS, if your local one will sell to the public, otherwise a dealer.

I just changed mine today. It takes time, but be methodical, it’s not too difficult. I got parts from VW. TPS wouldn’t sell to me, and I didn’t want to chance eBay bits.
