Waring check bulb light

Post by crotty89 »

I have changed the standard halogen bulbs to leds. And know ever since the check bulb warning light has come on. Any idea on how to get rid of it?

You need to buy Canbus compatible LED bulbs which have an integrated parallel resistor, if they are available for headlight wattages, so the current drawn in the circuit is equivalent to that of a 55W bulb or disable "cold diagnostics" using VCDS.
The parallel resistor would have to be a pretty meaty one and will get a little bit warm so Vcds option is probably best.

Normally Canbus compatible LEDs are used to replace bulbs of around 5W.
