Vacuum reservoir on 1.4 TSI

Post by Jojjo »

Hi. Still not owning a Scirocco, but a Tiguan 2008 1.4 TSI Twincharger.

I am planning to change coils/plugs to the R8 with adapter. Actually most for fun, but I suspect the engine cover will not fit afterwards. On my CAVA (also referred to BWK) engine, there is a vacuum hose connected to the engine cover, which prevents it from being removed completely. I suspect the engine cover holds the vacuum reservoir for the intake manifold or something. Several other 1.4 TSIs doesn't have this hose at the engine cover, so where is it then? How and where can i re-route this hose?

Regards, Morten.
