Lowered my Rocco. Help needed please...

Post by RoccoTdi »

My mechanic today fitted a set of 4 35 mum blue H&R springs to my DSG TDI Rocco.

Put it all back together and left. I took it for a test drive and noticed the car was clicking on the drivers side during gear changes and making a whirring sort of noise under acceleration and the steering wheel shaking and drivers side at higher speed.

Firstly when he was fitting the springs the inner drive shaft on the drivers side popped out and he popped it back in and put it all back together.

Secondly he fitted the drivers side shocker he was not sure how far the bottom of the shock should be fitted back into the hub unit. Could he have put the shock too much into the hub unit assembly as he never marked it before he took the shock out. Could this be causing this issue and the driveshaft to rub against the drive shaft causing the above issues?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you
