How do i know if i have the folding ,mirror option on my car?

If you have electrically folding mirrors your mirror switch has 5 positions (L, 0, R, Heat, Fold) and the mirrors have a puddle light on the bottom.

Auto folding on locking is not straightforward on the Scirocco.

On the switch if you take "0" as 3 o'clock the fold position is 7 o'clock and heat position is 11 o' clock.

+ But u need to look close it's hard to spot if you are sitting in the driver position, I didn't notice it the first three weeks :grumpy:

Yes, a folded mirror symbol. The switch in that picture doesn't have the fold position, so the car it's from doesn't have them fitted.

Was interested in retro fitting. Think it might be a bit too much work though >.<

Not much work, just screw off the old ones and mount the new ones.
Connectors plugged in and some minor coding.
The worst part is getting the door panels off.
Total job around 2h.

Oh so all the connections are there already? I'd have to get someone else to do the vagcom I don't have a cable >.<
