2009 Scirocco GT 2.0 TSI....... Reversing sensor problem

Post by Lewis1988 »

Hi, I own a 2009 Scirocco GT 2.0 TSI,

when i am driving the reversing sensors are coming on and also the selected gear number on the main dash is flashing intermittently ? Never had this before.

I'm hoping it's a loose connector somewhere.

Does anyone know where the loom travels or have a wiring diagram

Any help or advice would be great

Cheers

Does it do it after driving forwards for a long time or just for 10-20 secs after previously selecting reverse?

I've noticed on my Roc that after I have reversed, then disengaged reverse gear and selected 1st, the sensors and the RNS display screen are still active for a further 10 second (approx) before turning off (even though I'm driving forwards).........I think this is normal.

During this time your radio is muted unless you increase the volume or press the back button in the top right corner of the RNS screen.

Yeah it does it whilst driving forward constantly, so was thinking bad connection/contact and the vibration of driving is causing it.

Struggling to find a manual/wiring diagram

Only explanation I can see is the cables have come of the connector and then being loose been hit by the fan at some point

Anyone used butt connectors to splice cable in ??? 5amp cable and 5amp butt connector ????
