Ticking from transmission TDI 140.

I was driving along with the windows open the other day and I was aware of a ticking noise, like a bike freewheeling. Same thing happened with my golf V 1.6 fsi, but after about 35,000 miles. I took it in to the garage and it needed a new clutch, but my 'roc only has 3,000 on the clock. Is this noise normal on the TDI 140?

Can't say I've noticed this and I've got the model in question.

My TDI 140 Leon started making the same noise at 3000 miles and ended up needing a new clutch
