HELLO ALL, was wondering how many of you have had one of the old model sciroccos.
i myself never had a mark one (my brother and best mate did) but i did own a mark 2.it was a storm and comes in 3rd in the best cars i have ever owned.
would like to wish every one a happy new year.

Nope but when I was doing my A-levels one lucky sod got handed down a green scirocco storm. Very nice motor it was too.

Had a Mark 2 when I was 18...
Silver, 1.6 with Power steering in the sense that you had to use a lot of power to steer it...
I did love it though!

I had a 1.6 mk2 which was metallic green with fawn velour seats very 1980's I loved the car until some lady driver wanted a closer look if you know what I mean

so a few enthusiats then, never had one but when i was a kid at school my PE teacher had a silver mk2 and a green one, thought it was amazing and loved the name on the rear window, also friends mom had a couple of mk1s that stood out the crowd, makes me smile when kids in the back of their parents cars as reminds me when i was a kid

The MK1 and MK2 scirocco were truly horrible cars
The Golfs of the era were without a doubt much better cars. (hence why i've still got a MK2 Golf GTI, and am looking for another one )
Not so sure that applies 20yrs on though. . .

yes will agree with you.mark 2 golf GTI was the best car i ever had.sciroccos were much better than any escort xr3 any day(yes i am that old).golf was the king.
