I'm looking into buying this, will it fit on a 09 2.0 TSI (200HP)?

Personally, I would get whoever is fitting it to also supply the parts. That way if there is any issue after the work is done, it's their responsibility and you have some comeback.

If the worst happens and the chain or tensioner fails then they could say it was fitted correctly and the parts you supplied were faulty. How do you prove where the responsibility lies?

I know... I just called a 'VW Specialist' earlier and he told me that's has booked for the next two weeks (I need it to be done in the next 2 weeks, I'm going on a road trip).
He also asked me if it was a 1.8 l lol.

But this kit is advertised by this channel

If there are no symptoms currently , then I'm pretty sure it will survive a roadtrip. Better to get it done right than rush it.

Maybe he thought it was a MK2 Scirocco which was a 1.8 or he was getting confused with the latest 1.8 TSI VAG engine.

No symptoms currently, but if I can get it done in these upcoming two weeks then I'm happy. I sometimes feel like I'm driving a ticking timing bomb so I need some peace. I have ordered the kit and will ask my local indie mechanic to replace the chain and the tensioner.

I'm travelling to Brighton from Belgium (it's around 400 miles to get there)

Whatever makes you happy

400 miles is hardly a road trip, more like a trip to the shops. I do more miles than that every week :)
