61 plate Scirocco and Sony XAV‑AX100

Hi all, I hope you’re well?
I’ve just had a Sony XAV‑AX100 fitted to my Scirocco (I’ve had it for a month or so now) to replace a faulty aftermarket Pioneer system. Halfords installed this for me and I just have a few queries.
1. The volume rocker on the steering wheel works, however the back/forward skip buttons don’t. Is this easily fixed?
2. I tried to order a USB plate for the system so there’s a nest socket. Halfords tried to fix this but it didn’t work, and the eBay seller confirms this is because it’s not compatible with CarPlay. Does anyone know of one that will?

3. My car actually has a reversing camera fitted, however doesn’t seem to be compatible with the system (both the Pioneer one and the new Sony one). The ones I’ve been recommend are super expensive. Are there any that you have used that you know work?
