Broken Spring

Post by Astrix »

Hi guys,

I have a broken front spring and was wondering if anyone knows the part number for a replacement?

The car has DCC, does that mean it requires a special spring or are standard springs alright? I don't want lowering springs just the standard ones.

Should both on the front be changed at the same time?

Thanks guys.

You can get the part number from the following link
http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/ca ... 999/lang/e" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

.or just go to your dealer or TPS and they will supply you with the correct OEM part from registration number or VIN.

It's good practice to replace in pairs. Personally when replacing the springs I would also fit new OEM strut top bearings and mountings. Part numbers also in the link.
