Shock absorbers facing direction?

Postby Pro Rock » Sun Jun 24, 2018 8:46 am

Hi all, brand new to this forum, been a Roc owner for 3 yrs, £ absolutely love this car, I have a query concerning facing position of shocks, I’m not tech savvy, so excuse my lack of knowledge, anyway recently had the car up on a ramp at the garage, only to have the mechanic query why 3 of my shocks face to the rear, only for the drivers side to be facing forward ?.... I’m told this is normal by some & others not? While in garage guy check out a Golf & said it was the same, whose right or wrong here?

Scirocco and Golf are the same underneath. I doubt the it would be possible to fit the Droplinks on the front dampers if they where the wrong way wrong.

Wouldn't worry about
