Can anyone tell me where I could source the wastagate clip? I think I have the dreaded actuator rattle. It’s gettinf so bad I’m embarrassed to drive it

Search this forum and you will find a few threads about it (with the part number included).

You can buy the clip from the usual places: TPS, eBay, a dealer, etc.

Volkswagen don’t do the clip on its own now. They’re quoting £164 for the actuator and £95 to fit. The only part number I can find on the forums is 06J 145 220 A and that doesn’t seem to be compatible with sciroccos when looking on eBay. I’m at a bit of a loss, so if anyone can send a link to one they’ve bought where they know it fits then please let me know. It’s driving me crazy.

I thought the wastegate clip was only for the petrol 2 litre, I had the clip fitted to my car back in 2012. I may be wrong on that though.

Damn. I was hoping this was the answer to my prayers. The rattle noise I get when under acceleration is embarrassing. No garages can find it. Il need to keep looking

That would be correct, the 2.0TSi's. My previous Roc had one fitted under warranty.

ive had the same issue an i did fit the 06j 145 220a clip, no problems so far
