Windscreen washer spray not working Scirocco 62?

Post by craigad »

Hey everyone,

This is my first post here so sorry if it's in the wrong area.

After a really frosty morning I went out and my front windscreen washer jets weren't working. I just thought that the water must have been frozen. Anyway, after a few hours they were still not working.

The rear window wiper has stopped working at the same time but front wiper works just no washers.

I thought his might be a fuse but can't find a diagram anywhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There is a thread on here with fuse diagrams.

It could also be a faulty wiper stalk. You can use VCDS to perform output test of the stalk if you want

I had this problem the other day. Initially assumed it was frozen, once warmed up still nothing, assumed it was empty. Forgot about it and the next day it was working again

Fuse? Can you spray the rear window? And do you hear the motor running.

If you've only ever filled it with water then it may well still be frozen, put some warm water in it to free it up, then as others have said check the fuses.

I did help, I suggested fuses and running an output test on the stalk using VCDS. Did you do either of those?
