Grinding drivers side window

Post by selleym »

Came back from not using the car for 4 weeks.

Went to put the window down and it was making a grinding sort of noise
Window winds up and down fine no juddering or anything.

This happened to anyone else?
Maybe its just something stuck down inside the window/door...

Any scratches appearing on the window glass ? Sounds like a bit of grit stuck on the seal and when u wound it down it pulled it onto the rubber. May be worth lifting it and giving it a clean.

Not Quite sure it seemed to mostly go away after a while. Maybe something stuck.

sadly its a sign of the window regulator beginning to give up. very common fault and very expensive from the dealers to repair :(

Few must have sold the car just in time! Was like that for about a year.
