Microsquirt mount location

Where do you guys generally mount your ecu? I was wondering since microsquirt is waterproof I can mount it in the rain tray.

Don't know what you mean by rain tray? Under the scuttle where the wipers sit?

Where are you buying your waterproof microsquirt from? The page i looked at says it is splashproof and not suitable for mounting in the engine bay. They recommend in the cabin. They say you can make it waterproof with some silicon but i wouldn’t trust that too far.

What are you hoping to get from microsquirt? To my mind it is a pretty sophisticated device for converting a carb engine to FI in a kit car. It will not be anywhere close to the standard ecu in terms of sophistication so a backward step. But if you have a failed standard ecu it may get you away. Be very surprised if it would pass the annual emission tests (mot test in uk).
