When I first drove it, I did feel detached from the car and not involved with the driving experience in anyway. After originally owning a Fiesta ST, it felt a bit boring. However... Once I started using the DSG properly, and switching the lever into manual mode and using the paddles, it brings on a completely different driving dimension altogether, and I love it. Once back in traffic, just move it back to auto and let the car do all the heavy work.

My Scirocco is manual, and it is great to switch to that and get a real old school driving experience again. My next car though, will be DSG all the way, and that is the way technology is going anyway.
Ah ok that’s interesting. Thanks for that. I think it just takes some adjusting to the DSG. It does sound like it’s the future though. Definitely think I need to go take a drive of one.
