MY Viper Green Scirocco 2.0 TSI from Italy < IROC project >
It's the time to show my viper green Scirocco on this forum, finally i have bought my dreamcar!
Because i'm italian there will be some errors in my writings....i don't use so much google translate, but i will try do to my best!
Little story about me and the Scirocco....
12 years ago VW presented the IROC concept, i was only fourteen years old, and i fall in love with it! It's a lot of time from today, but in all these years i can't find a car that have a design like Scirocco, the shape, the lines, it' all so beautiful!
So after this long time, and after one year of search in Germany, (because in italy we have only black&white roccos) i found a good deal with this Scirocco 2.0 TSI R-Line.
Initially i searching an R TFSI, but in Viper green, with manual box and sunroof was impossible to find, so i decided to go with newer TSI and upgrade later in the years....
So here we are, this is the starting configuration:
- Viper green MY2012
- 2.0 TSI 211CV manual box
- Panoramic sunroof
- R-Line exterior with Mallory 18”
- SPORT pack inside black titanium
- RCD510 + 8 speakers
- Leather arm rest with AUX-IN
- MFSW
- Climatronic Bi-zone
- Aluminium pedals
- Dark windows 65%
- Fog lights
Will post in the next days a lot of pictures of the modifications......

First of all, Scirocco need lowering, so i bought AP coilovers from Germany
After need better light output, so i found a bargain on this DEPO lights
Removed rear wiper
Removed central silencer (not a good sound with stock final silencer)
And started my project to change all the interior lights from red o white, and add some new colors, like green and blue for special functions

Thanks, you need to change all the LEDs by desoldering them....you need some skills in electronics and a good solder....
Others LEDs in light switches....very painfull to change!

Very nice looks great, yes that smd leds requires some skills to solder.
They are so tiny. And you need a very small soldering tip for it.

Thanks, it's a long work but the result is fantastic!
Other important upgrade i done, was the TTRS brakes, big difference from stock brakes, give the stopping power that the 2.0 TSI should need!
Discs are Zimmerman SPORT 350x32mm front and 310x22mm rear
Custom paint Audi Ara Crystal with custom VWR stickers Installed brakes and coils

Got also a set of broken Dectane DEPO Litec taillight, repaired and installed! Love the look!
Changed VW logo from chrome to glossy black.
And finally new wheelssss! EtaBeta heron 19x8.5J ET33 not a showcar size, but i love the look
Need to lower a little bit the front and will be perfect for me, i will probably have to do the frame notch
Now it's time to show off all the mods!

Re: MY Viper Green Scirocco 2.0 TSI from Italy < IROC projec
Here we are, these are the WIP pictures, not all pictures but the main of the process.
I started my IROC interior restyling from the air vents, a lot of work and time to reach an OEM style look without imperfection....
Also was very dificult to find an honeycomb style grill like the IROC.
After i started the work on the speedo. I have the genius idea to take the Golf MK6 speedo, that is the most similar look to the IROC, with two big concave tubes and aluminium ring outside.
Firts of all i have to take the dashboard shapes for creating little cover for the hole behind the speedo, this was done with hard paper sheet.
Also i've made with an aluminium square rod a support for the speedo, to put it more outside of the dashboard.

The little shapes from the hard paper was converted in plexiglas and finally covered in carbon look vinyl.
The Golf speedo need to be modified, so i've placed some milliput and levigate it
Successively, i need to recreate the steeering hub cover to match the new speedo.
I've used the same technique to shape it with hard paper and plastic. And finally covered in carbon look.

And this is the final look! I need to place two screws to hold the new cover....someone like someone not, let's say what you think! For now, i haven't find a better solution!

Hello mate.
Great job on your Rocco.
Can I ask where you got the small LEDs for the Clima control and such, as I have wanted to do a White/blue style but cant find the right LEDs ?

Hi, thanks!
You can find the LEDs on ebay, you have to search SMD 3528 format
