Okay, I think I am going to do something crazy as I got bored of the 2.0T and it’s problems at least for now.

I am looking for Passat or Superb R36 mechanical system with quattro, most probably I will convert the car to R36 but I will have a serious issue with the Passat ECU SW as it won’t work with the Rocco ABS and braking system as the Passat ABS and hand brake is electrical!
So I will have to go for Superb system and ECU but it’s 260HP while the Passat is 300HP.
As far as I read the differences are in SW so once you installed Supercharger or Turbocharger both will be equals, not sure if it true!

Anyway, this is the way forward for now if I couldn’t find a good CDL engine with good price.

All ideas and thoughts are more than welcome.

Have you not thought of a Audi A3 3.2?

probably easier to swap everything over too

Is it the same one of Golf R32?
If yes then the R36 will be better as engine is much stronger and the stock engine can support up to 650hp if I am not mistaken.

Cant comment on the 650bhp but i know they are good got 450+

correct all Vag 3.2 engines are the same. slight differences between the mk4 and mk5 r32 etc

but yeah audi a3 3.2/r32 are all the same

Did a middle step until I took a serious decision regarding the R36 swap, installed ED30 K04 engine with ECU Stage 2+ & DSG Stage 2+ too.
I forgot this power level as last time I drove similar power was more than 4 years ago!

You have a crack somewhere in the glas of the headlight i think.
I also have the same problem and bought new headlights.
I have also installed breather tube on the facelift headlights i don't know if this exist for this headlights.
There is a plastic cap on the back that can be taken off and put the tube in.

I checked it and no cracks as they are new too.
I have the breather location but they are not installed, most probably they missed to install it in the workshop. Not sure if I can find them, I will try to find a similar tube to install.

The part is 1K8 941 717 and 1K8 941 718, the don't costs that much.
But i think there is a bad seal also or water coming on top of the headlights.
A breather hose will not be the solution for this quantity of moisture.

Long time was no updates, was busy with my wife’s Tiguan car. Converting from 1.4TSI FWD to 2.0TSI 4MOTION.

Yesterday received the mounts for the Rocco AWD conversion, will start after completing my wife’s car

There was another guy in the internet from Russia that done a similar work but with RS3 2.5 engine and Quattro from an Audi RS3, i think it is also in this forum the build thread....

Hello,
Do you know how to weld the fuel tank?
It’s for my Scirocco project.

For fuel tank welding make sure someone else is doing it somewhere else. It needs to be done by someone with good experience as is can be quite dangerous. Empty the tank. fill it with water, flush it, repeat several times. Make sure every last drop of fuel is gone, and NO petrol fumes are present.
