to whom it may concern: I successfully installed genuine used (9000+ km of mileage) Facelift R cluster into 2011 Rocco during facelift conversion.
without any hassle, I visited local vw dealer and they made immo adaptation, thus re-coding my keys into facelift cluster.
looks like I have the first facelift conversion with genuine cluster on the internet.

AWESOME build just looked through the whole thing! I just wondered how did you get the buttons to work on the new Steering wheel?

Golf7-like wheel is a direct swap for Golf6-like wheel, it works just out of the box.
For Golf5-like wheel, you have to replace steering column ecu, afaik.

If you have a Rocco from 2011 or newer then the steering wheel is a direct fit :) .. but if your Rocco is older then 2011 then it can still be done but I will be a little more difficult ;)

I'd be interested what is needed for 2009 car. Since i already have it, but buttons doesnt work. (Didn't even try on vagcom because i know my sw module wont support it)

You should check out Gazzagood's build log, I hear he sorted it out by swapping the steering module.

To be honest, I don't know what is needed to make it work, but I think steering module and maybe a bcm should do the trick ;)
