i wetsanded it down from silver to bare plastic, and spraypainted it gloss black (several coats like 5 or 6 coats) let it dry for 24h, 2 coats og clear and then i actually waxed it to get more.. shine? :)

Well i bet it is time for a little update..

As i was saying earlier in the project log, there would be alittle update after easter.

I was lurking around the web and found several scirocco's that had wraped different parts of the car. and since the new thing is called cardip, i figured i should try this out:
Image

Image

While this was drying a new "little" package arrived.
Image

Just a little frontsplitter. found on ebay for £112, reccon it's a good deal? or was that over priced?

Ever since i got the scirocco i like to keep the car clean.
So, atleast once a week i snowfoam and clean the car. Ordered some new products, some chemical guys, some poorboys and some scandicshine :)

Image

time to get the car up in the air!
Image

Since i can afford upgrading the brakes just yet, i figured that i at least could paint the caliper's.
Image

and while the car was up in the air, i could mount the frontsplitter:
Image

Here the roc is with the splitter mounted and her summershoes on:

Image

Sun came out in the easter = clean the car :D :
Image

this was how i drove to the streetmeet. Alittle more dip and i think it looks good. If i dont want it anymore, i can just peel it of. So what the heck.
Image

Alittle quicky of the enginebay. Painted the covers (washerfluid, coolerfluid and enginecover) black. and did a little something with the emblem.
Image

Got some great response of the peeps at the meet regarding the dip, they just wanted me to have more on the car though :P "and the black and orange theme was nice" was said several times.
unfortunally i didnt get any pics of the car. perhaps the eventholder took some. i know i saw a guy runing around snaping photos of the cars that was there :)

well, thats it for now.. But i reccon there will be more soon ;)

Looks great :) .. But if you want my opinion then kick your car in the knees and lower it ;) hehe would really make it look great

Also I can see you have black wheels on your car and your car is black which can make it all fade together and you will not notice the nice wheels, if you know what I mean :) .. So if you painted them in a dark gray then it would make the wheels stand more out because it's a nice set of rims you got there

And the orange looks good to the car

Thanks Niqlai! Yeah.. tell me about it. have been looking at some H&R loweringsprings, found a decent price, around 300kr cheaper than other places here in norway.
And you arent the first one that told me. Just yesterday when i was at my detailing-products guy he said (first time he had seen the car) "oh my gawd.. emm.. arent that a little high?" so he would talk to H&R and give me a good price ;)

I was thinking about getting the chrome line of the rim plastidipped aswell in orange, but just havent gotten around to it yet.
But i have allways loved the gunmetalgray colour. think it would be nice on the rims? :)

thanks :) i enjoy it. but it isnt for everyone. Just yesterday i got a snap from a friend asking if i was driving in the city (Bergen) cause she had just recieved a snap from another friend of my car. (it kinda stands out with the orange :P)

The car is looking great.

Are those BBS's 18" or 19"? I've got a set of 18's in my barn and can't decide whether or not to fit them. Are you lowered at all or standard ride height?

time for a little update.

i havent actually done so much with the car recently. but had the car on a dyno today.
Was told that the figures and the graph was somewhat unusual. any pointers much appriciated

Image

other than that, i got a sponsorship with a automotive lights dealer here in Bergen.
They enjoyed what i had done with the car and my plans for the future.
Have plans for changing the interior, OEM 2015 xenon convertion, Cup-spoiler, changing the bumpers to R-version etc.

It will happen over time, hence im between jobs atm.. so alittle slow progress now over the summer i guess :( but stay tuned! :)

I talked with a buddy from the VW Parts Store, and he told me the headlights had to be ordered from Germany, costing 587 Euro pr. headlight, so I found a pair on ebay, which had the ballasts and all modules for 749 euro.
I was planning to install the headlights first without the Adaptive Front Lightning System, and add this later.

Yes, the ones with the LED-strip.
