My Rocco project

Post by RoccoDav »

After a little while of promising myself I wouldn't modify another car, realised after joining yet another forum I was kidding myself! My previous car was a fn2 TypeR my pride n joy for a few years!

Image

Image

I traded it in of a stunning Candy white (210bhp) 2.0Tsi scirocco :)

Image

Image

I love this car! Soon as I see it leaving my civic was a little easier! My old car the vtec kicked in around the 5500rpm range so most my power was from that. This car is 10bhp more and the power is a lot earlier too feels a lot faster.

I find that the sports suspension button really makes a difference feels more like my old car with stiffness.

Anyway the modding began!!

I started with the normal stuff

Full LEDs in the interior and numberplate!

And pressed plates with are pretty cool

Image

Trying to safe money I ended buying these at a really good price.....

Audi TTRS RS Calipers and DISCS
The discs are 370mm HUGE!!!

Then I thought being black they didn't stand out much so had then painted "project mu" blue and got replacement stickers.

Image

Image

I also had to buy 15mm spacers to clear the callipers

I have a 2.0 TDI from 2012 and i would like to improve my stopping power! Did you feel a big difference? Mine are 288mm on front. I would like to go for 340mm or something like that. Calipers and rotors, how much am I going to spend buddy?

Cheers from Portugal

The civic looks really nice! those are some huge brakes. Although I've heard TTRS discs have a habit of warping?

Very nice mods though! keep up the good work. P.s. get a milltek and a remap. You think it's quick now, wait til it's mapped!!

The Audi S3/Golf R brakes are 345mm and bolt straight on. Very easy mod with a huge difference in performance. You can pick a set up for around £400-£500.

Nice update I got a Milltek Cat bk Non Res fitted the other day! I knew I wanted one when I brought it after having one on my civic.

Nice and noisy on the outside hardly any drone in the inside.

12mm spacer was not enough for the new brake?

Looks good mate. New exhaust sounds nice. Calipers certainly stand out but they look good. Much else planned?

Well 15mm was the most popular choice so I've researched and that fairly close not sure 12mm would fit!

12mm fit fine as I have the same caliper. Although I have TTS discs with custom adaptors because the 370mm discs are crap - Although they look much better haha. :)
Unfortunately the stock Turbine design of wheel is crap for wheel clearance, one of the worst of any VAG OEM wheel. Luck that they look good eh ;)

Nice colour.
