Remap results

Went to Midland VW today to have my twincharged mapped. The chap who did it knew his stuff and he even attempted to change a couple of things in VCDS for me. The channel isn't available for needle sweep on mine so he couldn't do that, but he has given me the digital speedo in MPH [emoji3] Here's the...

Re: Rear arch liner

I haven't come across it. They're usually rigid enough to hold their own shape. Have some of the fixings come out?

Are they the same wheels as in the pic I posted?

Alloy wheels

Evening....
Can someone tell me what these alloys are on my car. They don't look like the standard 17" Donningtons that are usually specified

TIA

Just given it a bath....

On another note, can someone tell me what alloys are on my car?
They don't look like standard issue Donnington 17's?

Re: Exhaust and remap

The K03 is not a big turbocharger in relative terms, but it's a big turbo to bolt such a small displacement engine. I hadn't really done my homework when I bought this car, so was surprised when you said it had a K03. It packed a punch in my GTi, so it's definitely going to on this one. Looking forw...

Re: Exhaust and remap

I've just re-read and I'm surprised APR even go close to 1.6bar. That's 23psi of boost. Usually remaps tend to be around 19/20psi iirc. I'm not 100% but don't these run around 14/15psi as standard? I've had a look at the graphs from the APR map and the torque is huge low down isn't it... Sent from m...

I used these.

I like the light that they throw out.

Re: Exhaust and remap

I did mean the momentum 99. A Freudian slip with the 100. I've had the exhaust fitted today, it's not OTT, just gives a slightly deeper burble at idle and a little more roar on acceleration, it's subtle Looking forward to the remap on Tuesday, should be an interesting drive back. Will I see an impro...

Re: Exhaust and remap

I've done a bit of research, as well has having previous cars mapped too. I've read that the APR map is a little aggressive low down, whereas the REVO is s little smoother and I don't think quite as much power. We'll wait and see. Is it worth telling them I run it on momentum 100, performance panel,...

Exhaust and remap

Evening all. Just a bit excited, going to get my milltek catback that I bought off shearermax fitted tomorrow. Then on Tuesday I'm going to Midland VW to get a REVO map put on it. Will hopefully be able to put some power figures of the before and after. I've managed to get the last slot to take adva...

Re: Temp gauge 2.0 petrol

Hi I have exactly the same symptoms on my 2.0tdi and yesterday had the thermostat replaced. Driving home tonight under load it reached 85 but on a long down hill it dropped to 70. The symptoms say thermostat but as I now have a brand new one, I'm thinking its something else. Any ideas? If not the t...

Re: What bulbs are people running?

Most of my driving is in town, so the streets are well lit. The beam pattern is good, with a good cut off (as you'd expect from a quality bulb) Light does suffer a little closer to the car, but then light does seem to be thrown out well further out in front of the vehicle. I have a journey to do on ...

Re: What bulbs are people running?

I haven't managed the pics yet, but there is a noticeable difference in the colour temp of the Philips Crystal bulbs. It's a much closer match to white LEDs
