Re: Real world mpg???
I was going to post identical figures. Seconded on what he said, it's worth the extra fuel as it's not a dieselAndy b wrote:My 2.0 210ps gt gives 35-37 average with a mix of town/a road/mway driving
It doesn't get driven too hard and has given 40ish on a roads on a good day

Be careful with those, 9 times out of 10 they just fool your ECU into adding more boost/fuel by telling it it's not performing as it is, you had it dynod?

They're decent times. If you can get a slightly better launch you might dip into the 6's on the 0-100 run, new tyres on the cards?

Re: Project.JN Jetta MK6 1.4 TSI
Why are you posting about a Jetta on a Scirocco forum? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk To be frank, that was a pretty turdish welcome. In every other owners club I'm in there's other motors present, especially when they share a lot of the same parts/architecture. I imagine this Jettas going to be ...

Windows Developed a mind of its own...
Right folks... Bare with me. I've used the search and came up trumps. This morning, the misses was in the car with me, she rolled the passenger window down, which is rarely used tbh she doesn't get in the car with me often. Upon winding it up, it seemed stiff and very slow. I told her not to wind th...

Re: Engine rebuild - any help?
If the oil pump failed and the engine seized it may not be rebuildable depending on the level of damage it's caused.

Re: New maf sensor and rough acceleration ?
No a fault in the wiring wouldn't show up on a code reader. I'd follow the wiring back from the headlights, looking for any breaks/missed earth's along the way and the wiring from the MAF, look for splits in the wiring/any dodgey earth points. Your MAF may well be spot on, but if it can't get the si...

Re: Timing chain derailed
Ahhh sorry to hear. Same happened to me just before Christmas on a 2010 2.0 TSI. It ended up costing me around £3500  for a rebuild (new head, pistons, camshaft). Looks like I might have been overcharged if you can get a replacement engine fitted for 2k :grumpy: Good luck, hope you get it sort...

Re: Engine management light car wont fire up.
To be honest, if you don't need the advanced features a Bluetooth one from Amazon + the Torque app will get you by and save you £50 plus.
I've got VAGCOM + a BT code reader. I use the BT one more tbh as it's less of a faff

Re: Is there going to be a Scirocco replacement?
I was hoping a new Scirocco was in the pipleline, but it looks like the AutoEuropa plant in Portugal is going to start producing the T-Roc instead: http://observador.pt/2016/11/15/t-roc-novo-suv-da-wv-sera-fabricado-na-autoeuropa/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Which is ac...
