Old School Rocco

Got a call to go and pick this up, hiding away under a cover. Not a detail just a good clean, polish & wax. Owner is thinking of selling it - Scirocco GT, C-reg, White with 67k on the clock paintwork was a little rough and going flat. Hiding away at the back http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e17...

Re: Wheel Brushes

As prev mentioned a good coating of PB wheel sealant, 476S, or even Gteq C5 will help in keeping things easy. A good brush is the Daytona speedmaster its dear but lasts longer than its predecessor the EZ, I use mine all the time and wouldn't be without it now.

Enzyme odour eater or Autosmart Bio-brisk as you want to attack the bacteria not mask it, the later I use as we do a lot of contract cars from leasing companies and they have had their fair share lol.

Re: Pressure washers

Cars with painted plastic trims or fibreglass panels are worth watching, as prev mentioned drive in foam washes where the person may use the power of the lance to remove grime at to close a range, i have seen them damage panels

Re: Claying

Another Clay worth a look that can used with water is Valetpro's. The cost of a lube is generaly cheap so i prefer to use a lube rather than water.

Re: Meguiars #16 mirror glaze

Good wax this, dont understand why its not more freely available in shops.
312g tub for £13, most waxes are in 250g tubs and cost more. Good durability and easy to use.

Re: Engine bay

The engine bays of most new cars are mostly plastic covers and pipes, unless you own a scoobie very busy in there lol. Here's what i do, keeping it cheap and not time consuming Before http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e170/b44fy/IMAG0200.jpg After http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e170/b44fy/IMAG022...

Re: trouble foaming the car

If you have a good coat of wax on the vehicle then using foams can help espec in the winter, check out valetpro on Youtube they have some good vids, look out for Orange pre-wash.

Re: Pre-wax cleaner/ glaze

Tardis will strip all your wax and sealant of but be carefull as it will also have a go at any glued on parts like trim and badges so be carefull with it. You could try claying. Dodo juice lime prime light is pre wax cleanser with no abrassives in it. Autoglym also do a HD cleanser kit with everthin...
