Can anyone confirm whether all 2.0 tsi engines in the scirocco are chain driven not belt. I'd always been told they were belt until the 211ps engine cam out, but went into the dealer today and they told me it was chain. Happy as its saved me a few hundred quid as it was due, but just not convinced. ...

Looks amazing need to give my roc a clean after 2k+ miles round Europe.

IIRC the 2.0ts 200bhp engine has a cam belt, but the latest 210 is chain.

Just bought something very similar. Not had any regrets! Don't be put off by scare stories with the dsg box, it's superb.

Almost 61,000. Picked it up two weeks ago and apart from needing a new wheel bearing very pleased with it! Still can't get over how good the dsg box is.
