Re: DSG Went All Weird...!!!

Thanks for the info. Did you find that it got progressively worse - it's only happened that one time so far.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the mechatronics?

DSG Went All Weird...!!!

I was driving home tonight with the DSG gearbox in "Drive" when all of a sudden the revs shot up and the gear selection indicator on the dash started flashing and showing an intermittant "spanner" symbol. The gear seemed to be stuck in 7th, so I tried to put it into manual. As I ...

Re: Headlight adjustment - bi Xenon

Since picking up my car I have found that the range for the dipped beam on my bi-xenons was far to short - although the light was lovely and bright I would only be able to see a very short distance ahead. It's not too much of a problem just now in the summer, but I thought I should get it looked at ...

Re: Stupid Deer

I find pheasants are my nemesis i've hit a few of them and they made quite a mess so a deer i imagine would make a bit more of a mess. Furry woodland creatures are a pain in the arse and they dont have insurance. Nor do they know the Green Cross Code. Sadly the deer in question was like the Monty P...

Stupid Deer

Well, having taken receipt of my new Roc a few weeks ago (and having done just over 1000 miles) I promptly crashed it into a big fat deer that jumped out in front of me. There are loads of them around where I live, so I keep an eye out for them. However, I was driving to work the other morning when ...

Re: Here At Last..!!!

Were these added or have the started providing these on the 1.4? nope they look like very new/clean standard pipes & no they still are not supplying chrome exhuast tips as standard on the 1.4. Trix, you're quite right - the're not chrome tips (so it's not a standard fitting or a mod) just a ver...

Here At Last..!!!

Well, out of the blue I got a call to say that the car which I had almost given up on was actually sitting at the dealers ready to be delivered. :D The car drives like a complete dream - it was well worth the wait. Attached is a link to some photos - apologies for the quality, they were taken with a...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)

Ordered mine in August from leasing company, after the initial delays was told in November would be delivered in March. Was told it would be delivered to dealer on 4th or march, called lease company and found out on monday the car hasnt even been built yet. Was excepted by factory on 8th of Feb and...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)

I placed my order at the end of September and was initially told to expect delivery in December. I was then told that there were delays etc. but that I would hopefully get a build date "soon". Eventually in early January I was told that my order had been accepted at the factory in early De...

Re: Colour changes

I think the Night Blue looks great. When the Sumatra was discontinued I had a real dilema about what to go for after that (I didn't fancy the Black Oak Brown) and was hedging towards the Indium Grey, but I've settled on the Night Blue and your photograph has convinced my that I've made the right cho...

Re: SatNav and Phone Holder

Hi Candyman,

You get two discs per pack, but I think you can order more if needed.

This has been sitting in my wife's car for a few weeks now and it's rock solid - no movement at all and it looks very tidy.

Re: Your 1st winter as a Scirocco owner

I'm quite glad that my Roc is delayed now...I was out last night driving through heavy snow (NE Scotland) and left the road at a sharp bend - I just managed to avoid going down an embankment and stopping in a field at the bottom. I got away with only minor damage to my front bumper. To think I was d...

Re: Colour changes

Hi Optimus, I'm sure you're right about the Black Oak Brown colour and that it will look fantastic as a metallic paint. I've decided to chicken out though and have asked my dealer to change my paint spec to Night Blue. I love the picture and panels I have seen so far of that "inky blue" co...

Re: More Options Ordered...

Yeah, the Xenons aren't cheap and come in at about £900. However, I live out in the sticks in the North of Scotland and commute into Aberdeen each day. I travel on a lot of rural back roads - so when it's wet, foggy, dark (or snowing...eeek) I think that the Xenons will be invaluable.

More Options Ordered...

Like many other people posting on here, I've became resigned to the fact that my Roc isn't going to be build / delivered within the original schedule. The problem is that the wait has now given me some time to consider the original options which I spec'd for the car and I've ended up going back to t...

Re: Colour changes

I've just had a look at the vw.de configurator and the Black Oak Brown looks awfully brown. Much more so than the coppery colour that you got with the Sumatra. I have a Sumatra on order, but don't have a build date yet. Does anyone know if the Week 45 intention to replace Sumatra with Black Oak Brow...
