Re: Bad Carpet Wear
yeah, normally i'd have mats in.. but I just didnt get round to it... - and since it's a leased car, it has to go back in 'acceptable' condition - it's leased from VW and they just didnt quibble over it.. just get it in and replace.. 'and this time we'll give you the mats you should have got first t...

Re: Bad Carpet Wear
It's the bit of carpet, just infront of the plastic bit where you put your heals whilst driving.. the problem is that the plastic bit isn't big enough.. so my size 12's rest on the carpet... anyway, VW have agreed to change the carpet under warranty ....and give me some free mats to make sure it doe...

Bad Carpet Wear
Got my new 'roc in Early Nov 2010 - covered about 4500 miles and noticed over the weekend that the driver side carpet is completely worn through already. I've taken it into the local dealer today for them to consider a warranty replacement (apparently it's covered in the first 6 months) - they're no...

Loving the car now, - i do about 100 mile round trip to work each day, 1st day today in the car - drove like a dream, handled superbly and I love the fact that you have to ac...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Well, after 3 1/2 months and over 2 weeks with the car at the dealers... i'm finally picking mine up tomorrow...
it was a case of 'he who shouts loudest' in the end.. but at least i'm getting it.

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
a little more detail has come to light... apparently the problem is that VW effectively sold the car to VW financial services (who are providing the lease for me) but it was sold on the old ordering system. - now VW are on their new NVS ordering system and the price does not match to what was origin...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
OK, this is beyond a joke now, - my dealer has had the car for 11 days, but can't release it to me as they can't print the paperwork from the 'old' VW system, they say they have a number of customers in the same position, where they ordered the vehicles on the old system and they've not been migrate...

Re: Leasing a Scirocco
There's a specific body (cant think of the name of it now) that lays down the rules on acceptable wear and tear - i've had an Audi A6 and and EClass Merc on leases over the last 4 years, both returned with no problems - in both cases I was sent a pack prior to return with a list of acceptable damage...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Well, today did not go to plan, as i suspected. to cut a long story short... the dealer tells me their 'system' is not letting them print the neccesary documentation as it's all on 'the old system' not the 'new system' and currently the old system is 'down' - now i'm aware there was a change of syst...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
Hi Elay I have a nasty suspicion that I am being messed about by someone and am very unhappy at present. I have e-mailed Gateway2lease but have a feeling that their response to my enquiry will be something like your car came thru' a different dealer. Just out of interest, would you be prepared to t...

Re: What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)
I ordered mine from the lease company 20th July and they assured me it was ordered either the same day or following day, so Friday 22nd at the lastest (according to the lease company). Got this message from the lease company yesterday: "Hi Adrian The latest update we have from the dealer regar...

Re: Leasing Scirocco
i'd double check that if I was you - contract hire is deemed to be a service (as opposed to supply of goods) under HMRC guidelines, as a result you effectivley get a monthly (or annual) invoice which is VATable - therefore if VAT changes, so does your payment. That was certainly the case when VAT dr...

Re: Leasing Scirocco
I'm in the process of leasing a 2.0 D GT in Rising Blue. - otherwise standard kit. - 20,000 miles a year 3+23mths - £318pm inc VAT - if I was doing lower mileage would have been cheaper - £255 on 10k miles P.A. I've leased cars for years and always look for 'bargains' usually models that are about t...
