Re: 3rd Year Service Costs 2.0 TSI
Don't VW dealers price match garages with in a certain distance? Well on my first service I got them to. Is it not in their 10 promise code thing they keep going on about.

Re: Jumpstarting

Jumpstarting
Is there any risks involved if a friend jump starts his car using my Scirocco? I remember seeing somewhere in the manual about jumpstarting but my manual is at home approx 150 miles away?!

Re: Winter MPG?
I usually get about 8mpg in the cold weather. It takes about half my commute to get the engine up to temp while in the summer prob be warmed up in a 5 minutes. I have a 40 minute commute. Bleedsoff - that must be a mistake. Do you mean you get an 8mpg drop off in the winter as opposed to actually g...

Re: Front tyres
Got the Pirelli Self Sealing tyres as they were the ones supplied when I got the car back in July 2010. Had my first service at 17,000 miles and they still had 6mm tread. Done 20,000 miles and still look fine. I do mostly motorway driving.

Re: Anyone had any issues with their folding mirrors ?
I have exactly the same problem! Usually when it happens I just leave the switch and by the time I have sorted the radio and seat belt they will pop out. It is annoying and think it one of the flimsiest thing on the car but still use it all the time!

I am right in thinking Sumatra paint code is LR8X? The guide looks good but I don't have garage or a few days to let the paint dry.

Stone Chips
Got my car washed yesterday and there are some mega Stone Chips on it now  Just wandering whats the best advice to get these sorted? Do VW do a Sumatra touch up paint?? Have had a brief look online and can't find it on their lists. Is it a relatively easy thing to do yourself, or easy to screw ...

Re: New or 12-18 months old Roc ?
Well you only lose 2-3 grand if you decide to sell it straight away. If your going to keep it then I would not worry about that problem. Really depends what you want, financial situation and end deal. If you want specific options etc then prob bet is a new one as a 2nd hand one with your exact requi...

I scrapped one of my alloys in that horrible Rotherhithe Tunnel (in London) after some 4x4 thought it had more right than me. Got a local guy who repairs alloys think it cost me £40/45 for the wheel and it looked brand new. It ain't the end of the world!
