2013 Scirocco 'resolutions'

So what plans have you got for your 'Rocco in 2013? Ideally I'd like a brake upgrade, arb's, more aggressive geometry set up, possibly new summer wheels and a front splitter (however new house purchase means none of these may happen :( ) I'm looking forwards to gti international at its new home and ...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Renewed my extended warranty and break down cover for another year. £232 up from last years £219.

Service, mot, a/c service and road tax to do this month too. An expensive Rocco month!

Re: evo magazine buying guide

Welcome along Peter, glad you got my e-mail. I'm sure Chris (RW1) will be along shortly - what he doesn't know about the scirocco really isn't worth knowing! I can't chip in anything about the 2.0 or the R but if you would like any info for the guide on the 1.4 160 hp I'll be happy to help! One thin...

Re: Wheel sizes, baffled...

With a 6.5" wheel with a 45 offset you'll have 15mm more inner clearance but the wheel will be 23mm further into the arch than stock. Not great aesthetically! Try http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to find out what differe...

Re: Wheel sizes, baffled...

41 is the stock offset with an 8" width. Around a 35 offset is good with an 8" wheel to fill the arches out more.

Re: Wheel sizes, baffled...

6.5 is the width in inches and et42 is the offset -the lower the number the more the wheels stick out.

F1's for me too. Really liked them when I've had them before. Not tried the p7's though. Also look at love tyres and oponeo for prices.

Best place would be the dealers. Or you could try eBay for a wrecked one at a scrappy?

Re: R tuning dubai

I'm pretty sure the Abt springs are re-branded Eibach springs and the Abt kitted cars like Ryy's have stock dampers with the uprated springs.

There are dyno graphs for with and without the filter here http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... =12&t=6998" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as I ran the development version of the filter. Had it on my car for ages now and really can't fault it. Recommended!

Any1 had any experience with Revo or Bluefin? Was thinking off purchasing a bluefin as there plug n play ? Might be worth asking on the tuning part of the forum, you should get more input there as they don't get out much :D Ha! If it was my money it'd be revo rather than bluefin - gains have been l...
