Re: Intercooler needed for Stage 2?
That's some great insight and information. I'm not chasing figures so I think I'll take your advice and just stick with a stage 1, I'll probably get a lil extra since it's got a high flow DP installed with an aftermarket induction kit already there so yeah, well see how it goes since I also want to ...

Intercooler needed for Stage 2?
Hey guys, I'm eyeing up getting my Scirocco mapped and thinking of skipping stage 1 and going directly to stage 2 since I have an induction kit + DP installed already. Is it absolutely mandatory to have an intercooler installed to get a stage 2 done?, has anyone done this and what's their experience...

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
So I've completely replaced the broken cable, reset the battery again waited 45 minutes and then turned the ignition on but all those lights still initially show up. Also I'm not getting anymore faults showing up on my reader. Can I just check with some other scirocco owners if this is normal with a...

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Oh it should be noted I managed to get an OBD reader and I can see that a fault code P0007 showed up which is the following: Fuel Shutoff Valve "A" Control Circuit High

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Disconnected the battery and waited 30 minutes then reconnected it but no Bueno. I did have to recalibrate the steering + drive it a lil bit but that was fine. https://imgur.com/a/7wmjK1k The EPC/Check engine light still came on so back to the drawing board. This wasn't an issue prior to installing ...

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Cheers for the advice guys.
The EPC/Check engine light comes on briefly when you first turn the keys then disappears once the engine is on so I will give the battery a reset and see if that was the fault.

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Yeah I'm siding with caution here and ordered an obd scanner which should arrive tomorrow.
Will take a look at the error codes first and see what they say.
For now the car is running fine but I'm not happy with leaving the EPC/check engine lights there.

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Sorry not sure why Imgur cropped that photo. It's missing the broken cable, the one you see is an untouched one. This is the broken one. https://ibb.co/FBTKvpZ And unfortunately yes this is the source of the fault since this wasn't an issue prior to changing the cold air intake and snapping this wire.

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Yeah the cable is completely fucked and throwing up an EPC/Check Engine error even after mending it with a crimp. I could drop the cash and buy this which looks to fix all of the eyelet cables but it's a steep buy in. - https://www.awtuning.co.uk/products/ea888-3-coil-pack-ground-harness-kit?variant...

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Thank you, very good idea.
I checked and there is a good bit of give on the cable so I think that might work.

HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Hi guys, I was fitting my new induction kit and the moment I put torque on the 10mm nut to get off the eyelet grounding cable it just snapped like it was made of nothing. What are my options here in getting this fixed. https://ibb.co/vDr8bYb Also excuse the silly question, I assume I shouldn't start...

Re: Engine identification + intake
Cheers for the response mate. I eventually found out the info I was after and found a compatible induction kit here. Had to look at a VW Jetta/GLI which runs the same layout. https://performancebyie.co.uk/products/ie-cold-air-intake-jetta-gli-20t-gen3?gclid=Cj0KCQiA5fetBhC9ARIsAP1UMgGyWNDJLJM2-kZeGE...

Re: Explain why I shouldn't get this.
If you don't mind me asking even though they are 2 different cars, did you buy their predator exhaust system with a res + silencer delete or was it just a normal cat back etc... Just curious so I know what to expect with a res + silencer delete if it might be too much. Also, I wanted to get a downpi...

Explain why I shouldn't get this.
Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new exhaust on my 2.0 r-line and stumbled on this I should add I've got an R rear diffuser on its way to support the split exhaust. https://store.avontuning.co.uk/scorpion-non-resonated-predator-cat-back-system-for-volkswagen-scirocco-r-2009-2017-daytona-tailpipe/p7047...

Engine identification + intake
Hi everyone, I've just joined the Scirocco club after picking up my new car last week. It's a 2016 2.0 TSI R-Line DSG. ( My Engine code is CUL if that makes any difference ) My issue I'm having is identifying my engine / picking the correct intake mod kit. I was under the impression when listing my ...
