You didn't say what car you had, but I don't think you need sensors. My 2009 Scirocco does not have any TPMS, and my 2017 Golf just uses the ABS wheel sensors as the basis of it's TPMS.

I installed an Eonon Q53Pro2 in my Euro 2008 build, to replace an RNS510. Buttons work as you asked. Only potential downside is that there is no built in Nav. Relies on phone to provide that using CarPlay/Android Auto. Install is simple plug and play.

Bubbles will form, usually slowly, because of the escaping gas.

Problem is you have to evacuate the refrigerant before replacing the valves. Valves were cheap, but the R134a was not.

I don't know if the soap bubble method would work, but I suspect not.

They replaced the inlet/outlet valves on my AC system, and so far it has worked well. Not really DIY though.

I've tried a number of iPhones, all the way back to a 3GS, without luck.

If you have the build info for your car, look for feature 8X1 (Headlamp washer system). That will tell you if it was built with it. Mine was an Oct./08 build, with it.

I'm sure it worked once, because I couldn't cancel the setting until i touched the brake pedal.

I was fixated on the switch, so I didn't look for codes. Something to try.

Is there a common failure of the CC switch stalk? I used it once, and it hasn't worked since. No dash light when I try to enable the CC.

When I try to pair my Scirocco (October 2008) to my phone (iPhoneSE) it recognizes the phone name, but indicates it it not compatible.

It has the RNS510 and 9w2 bluetooth according to the build sticker, and is a German market car.

Is there a list of compatible phones?
