Re: MFD keeps resetting
Hi guys. I realise this is an old post but just wondering if you managed to fix this issue? I'm having very similar issues like when I take my key out of the ignition my windows don't drop and the MFD completely resets itself then all the warning lights come on as if the battery has been disconnect...

Re: Flashing suspension mode light - code 00142 and 03264
I recently replaced the springs on mine and inadvertently damaged the abs sensor wiring, it could be something like that, I had to go right back where the wiring goes through the inner wing and do a continuity test. I then had to run a wire from further up to the sensor.
Hope this may help

Re: 2.0litre tsi petrol engine
Excuse me if I sound daft, but your post sounds like you are replacing an engine because it hasn’t started or run in three years, am I reading that correctly?
If so replacing an engine seems extremely drastic unless I am mistaken in why you need an engine.

Re: Clicking/Clunking noise when coming to a stop or setting off
If it wasn’t there before the work was done, take it back. That is not right and it’s the responsibility of the person who did the work in the first place. I have replaced numerous suspension parts over several years and not once have I “adjusted” a front subframe? I have only ever had to do anythin...

Re: 2009 1.4TSI 118kW Scirocco windows rocking while starting
I would be inclined to get someone to use it for a few days just to eliminate the battery getting a little low. I think you may find when it’s used regularly and the battery is kept fully charged it may be okay. Alternatively if possible keep the battery topped up using a trickle charger.

I’m pretty sure that’s the correct one, may be worth getting a couple of extras (a size up and a size down) that way you are covered either way,
Alternatively I would just take the one you have and pop down to local motor factors and compare it as that one in the link seems really expensive to me.

Re: Intercooler needed for Stage 2?
There’s a lot more to getting a stage two remap than just an induction kit and DP. Yes you would need a larger inter cooler, but then may need to think about turbos, injectors and fuel pump etc, then maybe an upgrade for the clutch. if it’s your daily and don’t want to change too much maybe stick to...

Won’t fit mate. Needs to be from 2008 - 2014.
How much damage has it had? From memory when I was rebuilding mine, used good condition bonnets are around the £400 mark. May be worth getting a quote from a local body shop to see if it can be repaired? Hope this helps.

Re: Weird window problem - any thoughts
I’m not sure why anyone would have been near it during a service? Unless you had work done in that area. Could there be any possibility someone has tried to force entry to the car or maybe something closed in the door. I can see the images but it’s quite difficult to actually see the overall issue.

Yes agreed definitely a MAP sensor.
I think it’s on the left hand side of the intake manifold but not 100% sure.

Can’t help directly with pics as yours is completely different to mine but When I have done this previously I looked on eBay for people selling engines and looked through the pics, took a few screenshots and went from there.

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
Yes that is correct. Your dash should show all lights when you turn your ignition on. Then once the engine starts they should all go off. (May take a few seconds) any lights that remain once the engine is running will show an issue if that makes sense.

Re: HELP - Snapped coilpack eyelet cable
If it wasn’t like it before you did the work, it’s clearly down to something that has been done when doing the job (or a very big coincidence) The wire need to be secure, hanging on by a thread is not good enough regardless and this needs to be sorted to rule out this as being an issue although I do...

Exactly as Bob says, alternatively you can cycle the steering completely to the left and then to the right and they should go out.
