Scirocco Central

My DSG has the bearing whine... still drives fine, changes as it should, drives as it should.. I was quoted anywhere from 2k - 4k to fix the whine...

I think I'm going to sell as is... I just dont have the funds to fix it

Not sure on this engine - but my R has just had an injector replaced as that was causing a missfire ... but the same direct cylinder injection.

Tried cleaning or replacing the MAF?

anyone swapped out injectors?

My 2013 R greated me with a missfire this morning, fired up VAGCOM - missfire cylinder 3, great coildpack or plug... swapped both out and its still there ... same code missfire cylinder 3 - any ideas?

Did you ever get this sorted? - my lock has just packed up as well

I see a lot of these online but they all seem to list as Golf parts, if anyone knows what one fits the Scirocco it would be appreciated

Did you get this sorted? - mine did that, it was the cam sensor, the engine cover had snapped the terminal, replaced that and it was all good

My R with DSG has done 116k miles and the DSG has been faultless until recently where I'm getting what sounds like thrust bearing noise, but the box still works exactly as it should, and reading on the Golf forums its a known issue with one of the clutch bearings and causes no issues and apparently ...

Found that one of the dual clutch bearings is prone to wear... read on the MK5 forums its a common thing.

Just wondering if the DSG gearbox has a release bearing and if anyone has changed it? I have a 2013 R with DSG - its been absoulty rock solid, 2 owner car and completely standard, never mapped, looked after, but has done 116K, it has however been my daily driver for the past 4+ years and I've notice...

Just looking at doing the rear disks and pads on my 2013 R - I know the disks are 310mm but how do I know what braking system I have for the pads? I've looked in the usual places EuroCP and GSF but they list 3 - 4 variants for my car... just wondering if its the VIN or something else? Help appreciated

I have Eibach Pro's and cant fault them - close to OE feel and just the slightest bit lower to improve the stance of the car
