Re: Dash Cam anyone?

I must admit that I thought it was in hours rather than minutes, and this rings a bell. I must have read it somewhere.

Re: Dash Cam anyone?

Although my Roc went a few months ago, I still haunt this place and this particular subject is a hot topic for me. Someone ploughed into the side of my brand new (1 month old) motor a month ago. I have debated the dash cam on and off for over a year now and this incident has made me take action. I'v...

Re: How to carry my mountain bike

Give a Saris Bones bike rack a try. They are £100 in Go Outdoors at the moment for the Saris Bones 3.

Re: Car Battery Isolater

My Roc sits outside for months at a time unused. I bought a solar powered charger that I was recommended on here. It suction cups to the inside of the windscreen and plugs into the OBD2 port. No tools required and will work with any car that has OBD2 (everything I'm likely to ever own). 12V VW Sola...

Re: Fuel Gauge stuck

I have had it in the past, but usually when not filling up to the brim, but it usually goes up after a few minutes. Assuming it is a new car, inform the dealers and drop it in for a warranty check.

Re: Phone cradles

I just sit mine in the cup holder nearest the gear stick, and use a USB adaptor lead plugged into the armrest with a short Nokia USB-micro USB lead. It fits a treat and find it easy to glance down to the screen if needs be. Also works well to use the speakerphone when driving, as the sound from the ...

If I were you, insurance company every time mate. It isn't your fault she shunted you, so don't go out of your way to accommodate her. You are already talking about getting quotes etc..so you are spending time and money doing the run around to get them. Sod that. As has already been mentioned, she m...

Yeah, I will still be here every now and then - especially if the apparent new Scirocco gets released.

Re: Nearly time for me to sell up

I am going to sell it privately. The dealer wasn't really interested in having it with the deal I got, so I will sell it privately nearer the time when my new motor is expected.

Nearly time for me to sell up

Hi All, after 3.5 years of very happy ownership, it is nearly time for me to sell my Roc. It will be a sad time selling it, as I absolutely love it, but my little girl is getting bigger and we have another one on the way. As such, a family orientated car is needed that we can pack with stuff. The wi...

Re: Collect Now or Wait!!??

I had a similar issue when I had mine. In the end, I had to admit defeat and collected it on 20 February and then the new reg came out 9 days later. It was all to do with the VAT going up from 15% at that time and VW stumping up the circa £600 difference. I had a ding dong with the dealer but they w...

Re: RCD 510 Help

I've seen a video of one of these units on a bench being recoded with a PC and when switched on it comes up with the Skoda logo, so guess this is part of the firmware of the unit and not dependent on what vehicle it is fitted in.

Re: dealer problems

Have used Redditch VW before. Service team were poor to say the least. Purchased a Black Rocco Exclusive edition from Derby Parkway (wanted the cream and black leather option :) ). When I got Home (Redditch) I found the horn didn't work and the armrest racket broken. Phoned Redditch VW and they sai...

Re: dealer problems

Although not ideal, I am always happy to have a courtesy car. Although typically not as enjoyable to drive as the Roc, it is mileage and wear and tear on their car and not yours. Just keep it until it is convenient to drop it back. I bought my car from WV Redditch and have had a bit of a game with t...

Mine had to have the drivers side done, but luckily for me it was still under warranty.
