Re: Scirocco - Common Questions

Is this normal? As shown below I have some open wires /components under the accelerator pedal. Causes no issues just wanted to check if anyone else has this.

Tips and tricks

I'm a happy new owner of a 1.4 15plate. Loving the car so far and I was wondering if there are any general knowledge tricks out there. I did a search but couldn't find much. I mean things like - hold lock button on key to wind up windows from outside - set mirror adjust to both to help with parking ...

Re: 1.4 or 2.0 petrol

What did you decide in the end? I'm looking at 1.4 but seeing that 122 is sluggish and 160 has the piston issues. Am I right thinking that the piston issue comes up very early on in car milage >30k or is that bs? Thanks

Re: Newbie buying advice!

Hi mate similar boat to you but thinking of 1.4 160. I'm reading about the piston misfiring issues but seems to be that most don't last above 30k milage. Also is it true that 2.0 litres have timing belts whilst 1.4 use a chain?
