1.4 TSI 2010 - Timing chain jumped

Hi guys, Unfortunately my timing chain jumped. Had it replaced at 160k and drove with the replaced one until 348k. - Regular oil changes, did not notice any performance issues during that time, cold rattle noise for a bit but had that even when it was replaced. Car is at the moment with the garage t...

I have the same issue as you. I just hold the boot unlock key when I'm in the back to pull it open.

Not particularly, just the normal use. Just make sure to keep checking it. I have the 1.4 TSI 122PK.

Re: Bluetooth nightmares

It's actually not that expensive, I got mine for around 150 EUR and it was/is still the best buy for my car (next to the chip tuning) Apple CarPlay/Android Auto will make your life so much easier and fun to drive :) ! This should be right but make sure to check it for yourself: https://www.aliexpres...

Re: Bluetooth nightmares

Hi John,

I suggest that you buy a new head unit, the RCD330 with Bluetooth Apple Carplay + Android Auto.

Works perfect and it is a plug & play.

Hope this helps.

Re: Scirocco 1.4 reliability running cost general maintenanc

I recommend looking for a 1.4 122 or an 2.0. They seem to be the most reliable but it depends on what you want to do with it + fuel consumption.

Good luck !

Major things: Chain replaced as a precaution (Around 500 EUR) Turbo died on me so had it replaced. (Around 1k EUR) The usual: Tires; depends on the choice. Re: RNS315 Bluetooth audio : Samsung Phone

HI Andy, Nice to hear that you picked up an R-Line, hope you are having fun with it. I had the same issue with the RNS315, the BT unit is outdated. Therefor I suggest that you get a new stereo, the RCD 330. Comes with Apple Play, AndroidCar & Bluetooth and works perfectly. I'm have been using it...

Hi there,

I replaced mine with black ones from Ali, looks good and cheap. Just make sure to clean the residue of the old emblems to make sure that it sticks.

Re: Just bought a 2010 1.4TSI 123,000miles Need advise.

Congrats on your buy ! 1st thing first, even though it has a timing chain I suggest that you get it a new chain (done by the garage of course) as it is known that they can stretch out due to a manufacturing issue. - Get some new spark plugs - Regarding the battery, buy a battery and replace it yours...
