Re: Potential warranty time bomb, 2.0 TSi engine.

I had this. Luckily it was inside warranty... I had this, too. Luckily it was inside warranty...Unfortunately the muppets didn't refit the intake hose clips correctly, and I had to call VW Assist when it all came unglued, threw a boost leak and code on the A9 in Scotland!! I now have to go and tear...

Re: iPhone 4 Compatibility

Same problem here - I went to the dealer and made a bit of a fuss, saying that for a 25 grand car it wasn't really acceptable to not accept all makes of phones; result achieved! VW supplied the new module - I just had to pay for fitting, about 80 quid.
Hope this helps

Re: Intake manifold sensor issue

Got this on Friday 31 Aug, 10 days before the warranty expired!! Engine light came on less than 2 miles after picking up the car from 1st MoT & brake fluid change, so I turned round and took it straight back! After they plugged it in to the diagnostic machine, the "Service Assistant" s...

Re: Where to buy a new (or nearly new) Scirocco?

Got mine from Peter Cooper in Hedge End, Southampton - good guys - ask for Lee. I was there on Tuesday (with my Golf) and they've got a pre-owned Viper Green on the forecourt - think its a 2.0TSi, but don't know if its DSG or not  sorry

No daft questions - only daft answers!! Have you got the new-style multifunction steering wheel? If so, right thumb the right arrow button and the mfd display should change - does on my 2.0TSi anyway. HTH

Re: Instrument lighting snag appeared.

Update: After I booked the car in to the dealer to have a look at this snag, I opened the storage tray to the right of the steering wheel and had a feel about! I could just about reach the back of the connector for the dashlight dimmer/adjuster, which I jiggled and tweaked to the best of my reach! W...

Instrument lighting snag appeared.

My 4-month-old 'Roc seems to have developed a random fault. Occasionally, the intrument & dash lights will brighten and then dim again almost immediately. Wifey mentioned this happening first but I have also seen it happen, especially in the dark. It appears to be totally random in occurrence, b...

At the moment, spending a lot of time in comfort mode, as softer seems to be better for driving on the icy roads in 'Ampshire!

Re: Little Disappointed with dashboard dials (only a little)

We have a 2001 Mk4 Golf GTi as well, and I like the blue dials. I also like the white effect on our new Scirrocco's dials. I don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anybody with access to the parts catalogue know if the little R badge on the lower "spoke" of the steering wheel is availab...

Re: Convenience Menu - Manual Door Opening

Had a play with this - seems to be an "anti-hijack" type of thing. Auto door closing causes the doors to lock when the car starts moving forward. Auto opening subsequently keeps the doors locked until thekeys are removed from the ignition, when the doors auto unlock, not open..

Any good?
