I took this trim off my facelift Scirocco. I had the same problem with the top clips being VERY hard to detach. The clips surrounding the top vent have a little plastic tooth which has to be raised for it to slide out. Took me nearly an hour to get it all off because I didn't want to break anything....

As said, it sounds as if the service counter wasn't reset when it was serviced. I don't know if it's the same on the facelift but on mine within the vehicle status menu you get the mileage and time to the next service displayed. It also gives you the option to reset but if you do it reverts to Time...

I was averaging 38-40 MPG according to the MFD. Now for some reason its dropped down to 31-32.. I havent really changed my driving style. Any ideas?

I use a USB adapter in the cigarette lighter to charge my Iphone, since if you use the MDI connection the cable has to hang out of the arm rest and can get squashed, plus the larger Iphones wont even fit inside the arm rest and the cable is too short to lay the phone flat ontop of the drink holders ...

Saved the head unit fascia till last, took it off (with great difficulty) only to find that the silver chrome looking trim around the top air vent is not removable, so if I did wrap it then it would look odd as the vinyl would mold to the groo...

Mine was swapped out under warranty when it split. I think the plastic can become brittle after awhile depending on your hulk like strength and the weather. They come in a pack which includes both the volume and center dial so I had them both replaced.

Shame as the white carbon effect looks decent. Yeah it took a few hours to do all the trim, first time I've wrapped anything before. The fascia would be so hard wrapping the vinyl behind the thinnest bits of trim, there's also a ton of plastic and clips behind it which would make it near impossible...
