I've got the older (first gen, EA888) 2.0 TSI 200ps. Can average 40mpg on motorway if I'm careful with the fun pedal, not too bad round town either but it can really drink if you want it to.

I imagine the 220ps will be the same if not better due to the later design and bluemotion tech.

Either way sounds like they're pulling your leg a bit, can buy an entire new headlight for around £100, 10 minute job to fit and doesn't require removing the bumper at all...

Thank you for response, it looks awesome. But that is a non Scirocco R modell as i can see, and i think the modules is different on Scirocco R. Bytes and bits may be in a slightly different place because of mine being a MY09 but the functionality should still exist, people 'convert' their cars to R...

Further to the above, just been out there tonight testing various things, I've managed to get the DRL in the headlight to stay on at all times, even when main beam is on. Coding was in a hidden bit under byte 2 in the central conv module (09), I manually changed bit 5 to 1 in the manual coding above...
