Glad you said this. .. I've just retro fitted the discover media into my 2010 Scirocco.... Called my dealer who was very in helpful ... Not wasting my money now

Yes phone button should do that but the button with microphone on it is for voice dialing (PTT) push to talk.
If it's not coded it just mutes the radio

Hi guys I've activated rain closure with vag com. I go into MFD and select rain closure but it never stays ticked... Any advice ?

Yes I retro fitted my 315. The mute button is now voice activation and I have s phone menu on MFD. You need to activate it with vag com.

Rns315 could have Bluetooth module in it the 510 definitely doesn't so you will need s blue tooth module too.

this look like what I need. does it behave like the oem unit?
does the channel name come up on MFD?
what happens when you reverse does it have the screen for the sensors?
and obv the AC controls.
also what about the steering wheel controls too?

I have the rns315 but want something that looks newer and had more apps etc. But I don't want it not have all the OEM futures like RDS etc...

My 2010 GTI TdI with a safe 1 cam get 480 on a full tank easily It's the DSG and I love the sports mode. If you are doing plenty of motorway mike's the dfp shouldn't be an issue.
