Do Scirocco's share the same air boxes with other VW models?

Does anybody know if the air boxes are all the same across the Scirocco range? I need a new air box for my 2.0TSi and was wondering if I can salvage one from a different variant of Scirocco like the TDi's?. Or even, do we share the same boxes as any of the Golf models like the MK5 for example? Any h...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Couldn't get the big speedo on the MDF to work though.. -_- Hi mate, deactivate alt speed display in the mfd and big speedo should appear :)...

Re: For scirocco's that have seen a lot of road..

I just buy everything in bulk. Save an absolute fortune!! For example, Chemical guys Mr. Pink shampoo is £7.95 for 16oz or in bulk you can pick up 133oz for £36.99!! Its basically half price :D Where do you purchase the products, (in bulk) Most websites offer bulk purchases. I get my stuff from Cle...

Re: For scirocco's that have seen a lot of road..

Nah, mines rising blue :) I've been detailing as a hobbie/ weekend job for some years now. I've tried and tested so many products that I now have my preferred products so I just buy everything in bulk. Save an absolute fortune!! For example, Chemical guys Mr. Pink shampoo is £7.95 for 16oz or in bul...

Re: Preparing for shows

Try not to just quick detail the car straight down upon arrival of the show because you will only be creating swirl marks for yourself. As above, find a local jet wash first and spray it down, then proceed to quick detail etc. I always use Mad Cow Ultra Violet detailer at shows. Gives an amazing glo...

Re: Paint Flaw / Damage

Looks like some form of contaminant to me, rather than lacquer damage.. Have you tried claying the area to see if it will remove it. Also, tar and glue remover as mentioned above.

Re: interior plastics and under the bonnet

Chemical guys Bare Bones is also another great product. I just apply to a cloth and then work over plastics. Its ideally meant for the undercarriage of the car but it brings plastics out incredibly well!

Re: For scirocco's that have seen a lot of road..

If you want to go one step further than claying to get an even deeper finish to your paint then visit Carpro's website and pick some 'Iron X' up from there. This disolves the remaining iron filaments and contaminants that the clay bar cannot reach. It sprays on clear and once left, it will turn a de...
