Re: Power steering doesnt work below 5mph.

So I finally got round to a vcds scan tonight. Guessing it all boils down to address 44 fault code 03252:engine control module for HV drive. Any ideas anyone? Also my alarm is now playing up and going off all the time which will be the other faults. Any thoughts on those would also be welcome. Cheer...

Re: Power steering doesnt work below 5mph.

I do have access to VCDS at my work so am planning on doing a scan to check for codes.

I dont get any warning lights staying on. The red steering light comes on when i turn to ignition but goes off and doesnt come back once started. Cant remember if its always done that but I presume so.

Power steering doesnt work below 5mph.

Hi all. Ive got a bit of a weird issue with my power steering. On initial start up i have no power steering until i go above 5mph, then it kicks in and its fine for the remainder of the journey. As long as the engine is running then all works as normal. However if I switch it off for more than 10 mi...

Re: ABS/Traction Control / Brake Light On

Thought I would put an update up. Ended up buying a second hand ABS Module/Pump and having it fitted. The garage fitted the pump ok, coding it however is another story. Basically they havent managed to code the new unit in. As far as I understand they cant get past the test program for the esp part ...

Re: ABS/Traction Control / Brake Light On

Sorry mate, I've not been near the forum in a while. Long story short Ive had no joy with VW taking any responsibility for the fault and instead I tried to get the module repaired. 6 weeks later im still without my car and Im about to bite the bullet and buy a new ABS module/pump which i think is ab...

Re: ABS/Traction Control / Brake Light On

Sadly I don’t have access to VCDS and the dealer has the car at the minute. I’ll try and get the fault codes off them.

Currently arguing with vw about getting them to foot the bill for the module. Fingers crossed.

ABS/Traction Control / Brake Light On

Morning. Was driving home on the motorway the other week and these warning lights came on the dash. No noticable difference in driving ( no limp home etc) and made it home. Checked all brakes / fluids and seemed ok so took a brave pill and gave it to the dealers to look at. Heard back now that the A...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?

Discovered the buttons on the seats actually do something.

Always thought they were supposed to move the whole seat, turns out it's lumbar support.

Only been over 2 years I've had the car! [emoji23][emoji23]

Re: DSG service - main dealer??

Thanks for all the replies, definitely not a job I would think of taking on myself.

Reckon I will be going to VW for it, 179 is a decent price and it's a good stamp to get in the book should I sell on at any point.

Re: DSG service - main dealer??

Cheers cuprabob.

£179 isn't too bad for it and with the VCDS connection requirement etc the main dealer is probably where I will go.

Not due for another 8k miles but that will fly in.

DSG service - main dealer??

Planning ahead to my next service -80k so it will be a dsg service as well. Question is should this only be done at a main dealer or can it be trusted to a decent indie? Can't imagine it's too difficult a task and any warranty/ good will from vw should anything break is well out the window due to ag...

Re: OMG Bilt Hamber auto foam and CG Glossworkz

+1 for bilt hamber snow foam. By far the best snow foam I've used and as 3t3p says it actually removes dirt.

Missus car doesn't do many miles and this can keep it looking decent for some time between full cleans/waxes.

Rising blue GT

Looks good mate. Question about the front bumper. Looks like you went for a Matt black, and did you paint the honeycomb on grill part?

That was exactly what I was thinking of spending it on. I'll try and get some prices for it this week I reckon.

Not going for a splitter at the minute. Bit nervous about breaking it again as the kerbs at my house are quite high.

Spend my money on something else I think.

Re: Here's My Black Scirocco

Sorry to hear you had so much bother with the bodyshop. Looks like a pretty shit job to me and considering how much work you must have put in to get the bumper ready you must be raging. Good luck finding someone that can sort it, reckon it will be ready for next week?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

Ah I see. I'm in Fife so not far away. We're organising a meet in Falkirk on the 4th June. If you can you should head along, trying to get a decent size meet.

Re: Bluetooth module for Red MFD (2009 Scirocco)

Excellent, that's good news. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how you get on.

The mfd looks the same, where you from, temp in Fahrenheit and the brake light suggest across the pond?
